Mt. McKinley (or "Denali," as most people refer to it) is enormous. At over 20,000 feet, the highest in North America, it towers over its neighbors. We were so fortunate to see ALL of Denali, without its cover of clouds.

Each image emerges from the deliberate choices the photographer makes - first behind the lens and then at the computer. That combination of craft and artistic vision produces photography as art. However, someone else adapted Adams' words thus: "You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it." Those words are also true, even if the two statements are somewhat paradoxical. I stand in awe of the beauty of earth and sky and animals and people in this world. I quietly borrow the images and ask you, in turn, to borrow the vision as well.
