This Maasai man is taking his tribes cows out to pasture for the day. He and his fellow tribesmen will guard them all day, taking them back to the village corral at nightfall.

Each image emerges from the deliberate choices the photographer makes - first behind the lens and then at the computer. That combination of craft and artistic vision produces photography as art. However, someone else adapted Adams' words thus: "You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it." Those words are also true, even if the two statements are somewhat paradoxical.
